In the busyness of daily life we do small things to bring happiness into our home, be it a vase of flowers on a beautiful tablecloth. I feel calm when looking at an arrangement on my breakfast table. It's a still life waiting to be painted. In a season where everything in my life is moving so fast, I look to the table, where the only thing that changes is the shadows cast throughout the day.
