Collection: About Ke Francis

Early in my art career, I was strongly influenced by thingamajigs. The variety of form and color seemed to lend itself to that wide-ranging and highly creative schism in my work. A jig, of course, is a form of shortcut for the process of multiple forming, and it can be a Celtic dance. Both have worked nicely. Emotional thingamajigs loosely define my range in the early work.  Over these many years, I have spent quite a lot of energy on multi-colored combiwhatnots.

At the turn of the twenty-first century, my work experienced whirlyflam, a tornadic intuitive vision that led me to explore the expressive quality of whatchamacallits. Currently I am working on both visual and text-based whatchamacallits.

The fact is, I currently publish and distribute my own multiples. I am using vintage equipment with handset moxie and quality spunk. That seems to create an emotional art with Jambo to the max.

* A tip of the hat to Kurt Vonnegut and Dr. Seuss for broadening the vocabulary available for critical writing.
