Episode 2 of Season 8 of HGTV's Home Town introduced us to Mike Terrell. Mike moved from Seattle to be closer to his father. We are so delighted Mike chose Laurel and we can't wait to welcome him into our great artist community in Mississippi.

Mike's desires were modern and sleek. Ben and Erin rose to the occasion. They transformed a thoroughly traditional kitchen into Mike's dream modern set up. They even placed their very first waterfall island. We love that they kept the floor and went with light wood on the cabinets to finish the look. Susan Stevens found a place in this kitchen.

The dining room was the perfect spot for a couple of Ellen Langford's pieces. The louvered shutters let in plenty of natural light that make the tumbling dog and child shine.

Mike's bedroom was another great spot for Mississippi art. The warm greenish-brown paint color was the perfect choice for Ali Stayer and Carol Roark. The wardrobe was a wonderful complement as well.

Sometimes a Laurel house just doesn't feel complete without the addition of Laurel native Shelley Bolton's work. This piece was the crowning jewel in a wide selection of your Mississippi artists.
