Introducing Rhythms of Life, Mary Buckley's brand new collection!

We are so excited to share Mary Buckley's new acrylic collection, Rhythms of Life!
Her inspiration came from the desire to express the economy of living in stillness and community and how both can be encouraging, uplifting, and beautiful. As she cleared out her studio to make room for these new works, she settled into a designated creative space nurtured by beautiful music.

For this collection Mary started a new chapter, stepping into something unexpected. Known for her dreamy landscapes and lush flowers, Mary introduces figures into her work for the first time. This collection blends her signature atmosphere with human presence, adding new emotion, movement, and story to every piece. But this did not necessarily come easy for Mary. While exploring the theme of belonging she also found this collection to be quite time consuming. Developing her skill to create figures was new and unknown to Mary.
When asked if she had a favorite piece in the collection Mary shared a story about her painting In the Garden. She drew inspiration from her mother, who once painted something similar to this piece. While creating this she often thought of her mother and the image of her walking in a beautiful garden. She also explored themes around the "human calling."
Mary states, "In this present moment, what is my calling? To be alone in nature? Or to be in relationship with others. We are created for both."

She finds beauty in societal connection and beauty in sanctuary. Expressing that our souls long for both human connection and spiritual connection in its purest form. Referring to it as such a powerful part of our journey.

We invite you to explore Rhythms of Life and walk with Mary as she explores the desire of inspiring others to develop both parts of the belongings in their soul for relationships and stillness.
