Beside Still Waters by Peyton Hutchinson

Beside Still Waters by Peyton Hutchinson. Inspired by the beautiful Southern landscape and Psalm 23. “Whether it’s the ocean or lake, water is very calming and I think it’s a great reminder to us if we walk with Him, we can be Beside Still Waters,” said Peyton. Pieces of all sizes!

Mornings by the Lake
"I am constantly inspired by the Southern landscape. With summer coming, and it’s gets so hot in the South, we southerners love being near water! So all of these pieces have some form of water in the painting. They are scenes from Pickwick Lake and the Florida Marshes."

Sunset Over the Marsh
"About a month ago I did a series of small paintings and called it Beside Still Waters. This is my larger, more in depth version of it. The title Beside Still Waters is from the very famous Psalm 23. Whether it’s the ocean or lake, water is very calming and I think it’s a great reminder to us if we walk with Him, we can be Beside Still Waters. The older I get I realize painting has been a gift from the Lord so I try to honor and glorify Him through each painting."

30A Marsh
"The hardest challenge for me is time management! I wish I had more time to paint, but I have a family and 3 very busy children. Thankfully my husband is very helpful with all that goes on in our home and I couldn’t have produced this much work without him!"

Lily Pads
" I am an impressionist painter so this is my impression of the Southern landscape, in particular Mississippi lakes and Florida marshes. I hope each piece reminds the viewer how we long to be Beside Still Waters."
