Ali and her husband, Phil Stayer, live in Hattiesburg, MS with their 5 children. Ali has been painting for over 17 years under the tutelage of her mother Hilda Brown, an accomplished artist in Montgomery, AL. Painting scenes that are familiar to her, Ali focuses mostly on coastal and southern landscapes. Her paintings have been described as calm and soothing.
