• Created using the Japanese art technique of Kimekomi, Mississippi Mosaic transforms carefully selected fabrics into the shape of Mississippi through the harmony of color, texture, and craftsmanship.  Artists thoughtfully place each fabric piece to create a layered composition that honors a time-honored tradition while celebrating a unique sense of place.  The work reflects the beauty found in individual pieces coming together to create something meaningful, connected, and whole.
