This collection was inspired by Music. MUSIC. Music. But especially BLUES. All of my paintings are named after songs. But I had the sound of KoKo Taylor and Robert Johnson in my ear. Blues music in the South is a rite of passage...at least for me it sure was growing up. My dad took me to my first Bobby Rush concert at the age of 10. This collection pays homage to those special years cultivating my own taste in music. It influences everything I do now...especially my art craft.  - Rachel Misenar
