Collection: Paul Portis

Born and raised in Atlanta, Paul Portis has spent the majority of his life in the Southeast. He obtained his BFA in printmaking and book arts in Philadelphia at The University of the Arts before moving back to the South. He has worked in the commercial screen printing industry printing concert posters and merchandise for over a decade and lived in Athens, GA and New Orleans before moving to Mississippi in 2020. Paul’s current work could be described as representative oil paintings that strive to capture the beauty of commonplace scenes from his day-to-day life in Mississippi. Paul lives and makes work in New Albany, Mississippi.
