“Tree Line and Patterns” by Rick Anderson
36″x48″ inches, acrylic and mixed media on gallery wrapped canvas.
Part of Rick Anderson’s October 2018 exhibition “SNAPSHOTS” Pencil, Pen, & Paint.
He says, “Traveling all over many parts of Mississippi we see pecan trees lined up in rows in almost perfect alignment. As the seasons change and lose their leaves, they continue to stand strong giving shadows onto the land. They take on a purple cast as seen through the morning haze. The ground coming forward has a broken and patterned look, which begins to become smooth and levels off the closer it gets.”
