Introducing Small Offerings, a brand new collection by Laura Jones.
We are happy to share that Laura Jones just released a mini collection, Small Offerings. These acrylic works are a continuation of her last collection, Temporary Arrangements. With this collection, Laura decided to explore the intricacy of the play of shadow on a small scale. She focused on how shadows are painted through glass.
Her biggest challenge was the complete change of her workflow. Laura recently moved studios. Because she was not in her normal space while creating this collection, she chose a smaller scale to work with.
Everyday Laura is practicing the same skills over and over again to improve her execution. All of her collections are playful and experimental. Watercolor is her bread and butter, so she enjoys using these collections as a way to try new things and experiment with her creative process.
Laura describes this collection as a mental preparation for summer.
