ART DEMO WITH PEYTON HUTCHINSON

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Art Demo with Peyton Hutchinson at the Caron Gallery! Peyton says, “Hi! I am Peyton Hutchinson, an artist who loves color! Growing up in Mississippi instilled in me a love of the outdoors, and the beauty and drama of nature continue to be my greatest creative inspiration.

As a painter, my greatest challenge is to try to depict all of the gorgeous colors of the landscape. Therefore, I consider myself a colorist of contemporary landscapes. I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and also studies at the Rhode Island School of Design. During college, I ventured to the Marchutz School of Art in Aix en Provence, France where I fell madly in love with painting natural landscapes plein air. That’s also where I discovered my new best friend, the palette knife! I live and work from my studio in Madison, Mississippi with my husband, Burney, our three children and two pups. Locally, I have studied with renowned artists Jere Allen, Greg Cartmell, and Bob Tompkins. I also studied impressionism with Italian artist Jerry Fresia, and Californian artist Camille Prezwodek.”

Thank you Peyton Hutchinson for sharing your talents with us!! More of her work can be found below.
