CATIE DANIEL

Catie Daniel grew up in the small coastal town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Her interest in art began at a young age and continued through high school. She is mostly self taught but has earned an Associates of Art from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She is primarily a watercolor painter as well as a ceramic artist with 20 years of experience creating functional pottery.

Catie has been very active in her work along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, including public art projects in Ocean Springs, Biloxi, and Gulfport. She opened and co-owned Strange Bird Studio in downtown Biloxi, has partnered with the George Ohr Museum and Boys and Girls Club, and taught painting and ceramics at The Mary C. Cultural Arts Center.

She is currently represented by Caron Gallery in Tupelo, Mississippi and her work has been on HGTV’s Hometown show, sold nationally and internationally.

The last few years have taken Catie away from her beloved coast to where she currently resides in Blountville, Tennessee. She continues to paint and create pottery in her home studio, while leading a simple life of faith and family.
